2013 ★ The Year That Was - The Flying Drunken Monkey

It seems like such a cliche to write a 2013 wrap up post but I feel like I need to wrap this year up.

There’s been some major ups and some major downs this year.

★ Early in the year my wonderful Grandfather passed away.
★ We welcomed the beautiful Chloe who has brightened our lives in so many ways.
★ Only a week later we also welcomed a wonderful little nephew.
★ Lily has grown from strength to strength – she started “school” this year and has completely blossomed, from a girl who was too shy to talk to anyone to a girl who now seeks out friends on the playground.
★ She’s also grown up a lot and we’ve all had to learn how to live with a 3 year old. A very stubborn 3 year old.
★ My anxiety was up and down throughout the year until I finally made the decision to see our GP and am now working with a psychologist.

I’m not going to make any resolutions or major goals this year. I’m not even going to look back at my goals from last year. I really don’t feel like it’s a good idea at the moment.

But what I will say is that I hope 2014 is filled with good things plus the strength for us to deal with the not-so-good things. I hope that by this time next year I will be happier, calmer and more accepting of life in general.

Thank you, all of you, for sticking around. It means a lot. xx

It’s great to know that I am not the only one not setting goals this year. :) I think life should be about looking forward. At the end of the year I don’t want to look back and be unhappy.
