Step one may seem a little strange – why would you start by cleaning your sink? Isn’t there more important things to do??

But FlyLady believes that the “FlyLady system is all about establishing little habits that string together into simple routines to help your day run on automatic pilot.” Having a shining sink sends you to bed with a smile and wakes you up with a smile.

This is the first step that I followed last time but it wasn’t too long before my sink was full of dirty dishes again. I am determined that this won’t happen this time.

This is my sink before:

Although the sink is full of dishes surprisingly this time they are clean. It’s not unusual to have the sink full to the brim with dirty dishes.

And this is the sink after I shined it:

So pretty. I also soaked the dish trays in the bath with some bleach:

Am considering getting rid of one but we’ll see how we go.

Now I don’t want to use the sink because I want to keep it shiny!!
