Take flight in this action-packed comedy and soar with an international cast of the world’s fastest air racers! ‘Dusty’ the crop duster, a small town dreamer, longs to enter the epic and grueling Wings Around The Globe air race. Unfortunately, Dusty has one not-so-small problem… a crippling fear of heights. His mentor, a war bird, named Skipper, believes Dusty has too much engine to be a farm boy and encourages him to get in the game. Supported by friends old and new, Dusty finally flies out of his comfort zone to take on the biggest challenge of his life.
We received our review copy of Planes just at the right time – Lily had the day off school due to a virus. We picked the parcel up from the post office and I told Lily she could watch it when we got home. I told her it was like the movie Cars which she had seen and she was excited to watch it, although she was wary that there may be “scary planes”.
Thankfully the planes weren’t too scary and she loved the movie. I asked her my usual questions and this time she actually answered easily!
What was your favourite part? When the plane didn’t hit the train!
What part didn’t you like? When the plane was going to hit the train (complete with sad face)
Which was your favourite character? The orange plane! (Dusty)
Which character didn’t you like? The scary one that closed the big doors (Skipper, but she agreed he wasn’t scary after that)
