So… what’s a Liebster Blog Award? I had no idea either. I did a quick google search and found this:
“The origins of the Liebster Blog award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster meaning favourite or dearest, to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting the award the recipient can then pass it on to five more blogs of note. A way of introducing other bloggers to the blogs you enjoy.”
Which sounds pretty darn cool to me!
The lovely Jade from Organising to Make Life Easier recently awarded me the Liebster Blog Award on her blog! She said some very nice things about me, including that I am great motivation! I was so happy to read this; my blog started out as motivation for ME to change my life and I am so glad to hear that it has become motivation for others as well. Feeling mighty chuffed at the moment!
So, here are the rules for accepting the award;
♥ Copy and paste the award on your blog
♥ Link back to the blogger who gave you the award
♥ Pick your five favourite bloggers with under 200 followers who deserve to be recognised
♥ Hope the five chosen bloggers will continue to spread the blog award love
Here are the 5 bloggers that I have chosen;
Organising to Make Life Easier – as I said above, Jade was the one to give me the award! I am not really even sure how I came across Jade’s blog. I think it may have been through Facebook. Jade shares some great tips on organising different areas of your house and also has a great meal planning template too!
Me and My Munchkin – Once again, I’m not really sure how I came across Chrissie’s blog, probably through Facebook as well. Chrissie is a single mum to Master A and she shares some great insights into the ups and downs of being a single mum to a toddler. Chrissie, I take my hat off to you! I really don’t think I’d survive being a single mum!
The Mummy Autobiography – I first met Miss Pink at the Naked Communications event I attended last year, then again at the Digital Parents Conference & Bloggers BBQ in March and then recently at our lunch with Glowless. Miss Pink shares great moments from her life as a mum to 2 gorgeous boys (who were so cute and polite and adorable at the lunch. They played with Lily and said “Lily is very nice” and she was so upset when they left!!). Miss Pink is also very candid about life with Social Anxiety.
Tattoo Mummy – I know Jess has more than 200 followers on her Facebook page but I really wanted to include her. I think we randomly followed each other on Twitter quite awhile ago and she was kind enough to give me a quote for my Kleenex Cottonelle review. Jess is funky and awesome and has some amazing tattoos – she regularly shares photos of them on her blog. She shares little snippets of her life and is also very candid about her struggles with anxiety and depression. She has two adorable little kids and is a young mum like me!
Mad Mummas Sweet Randoms – Kel also has more than 200 Facebook followers but I wanted to include her as she has been a great support for me on Facebook. She’s fantastic for helping other bloggers get more followers on their page and always comments and likes. She shares some great recipes on her blog and also runs some great competitions. Kel participates in lots of the linkys floating around in the blogosphere and is a really great support to the community in general.
So there’s my 5! Make sure you go and check them out!!
