I love when Mr Monkey is home to cook. Above is rib eye steak with Diane sauce and beetroot and chickpea salad. Yum!!

Bit of a quiet week this week, meal-wise. I’ll be down at my parents’ house from Tuesday – they are away for a few days and I need to ferry my sister around (with her broken foot) and look after her daughter while she’s at work. Thankfully Mum has heaps of meals prepared in the freezer so I probably won’t have to cook, maybe just reheat meals.
Mr Monkey has brought quite a lot of food home from work so we’re mostly using that up this week. He has some pork ribs that he’s going to cook tomorrow night with some homemade chips.
Lily has been asking for pasta lately because it’s been a little while since we’ve had some so I’m just going to make up a quick tuna pasta bake on Friday.
One of the meals that was on Mr Monkey’s last menu was roast capsicum, sage and fetta Arancini (risotto balls). I wanted to make it in to a more substantial meal but couldn’t really think of what to add to it. Finally decided on just doing a big salad and will make some garlic bread as well.
Simple steak sandwiches on Sunday night – will probably be another lazy day like today!
