Yes, this post is really late this week. I had a few issues with access to the blog which thankfully got sorted out. But I also just… haven’t felt like blogging. I haven’t felt like doing anything at all really. I’ve been in a little bit of a slump lately, my anxiety has been a bit crazy and I’ve just been too tired. I also haven’t been for a run in almost 2 weeks and I think that’s got something to do with it too.

Quietish week this week. Yesterday was Mr Monkey’s one day off for the week but he still had to go in for a meeting. At least he was able to come to Lily’s swimming lesson. After dropping him at his meeting the girls and I headed to the library then to do the grocery shopping. Thankfully Mr Monkey was able to meet us at the shops because by that stage I had someone hurt my arm and could barely use my hand. Pushing the trolley was hard let alone wrangling the girls! I think it was just from carrying Chloe a bit too much over the morning and where the muscle was that was hurting was affecting my whole arm.

We headed home where we all decided to go down for a nap. Almost 3 hours later I woke with a start! Whoops! Luckily, dinner was an easy one and I quickly threw Heston’s Carbonara together. I still think that’s the best pasta ever. Plus, Mr Monkey washed the dinner so it was an excellent night! :)

Today I had planned to basically spend the entire day on the couch. I was going to attempt to get some blog posts written but I wasn’t very sure that would happen. Instead I got a phone call from Mr Monkey asking me to bring him something important that he had forgotten for work. So in we drove. At least Lily got to see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House again. She gets very excited every time we see them. (So do I. Shh!)

Once we got back home I realised the Chicken and Chorizo Gumbo needed to go in the slow cooker for 5 hours so I quickly got that together. Sat down on the couch with lunch and the plan to do some writing. Thought “stuff it” and had a nap instead. But dinner was great, if a bit on the spicy side for us girls.

Tomorrow is another day at home and while I’d love to spend it on the couch I’ll probably need to do some housework. I’m hoping to get out for a run in the morning too. I’m not looking forward to it because it’s been so long and I really don’t think I’ll go well. Plus it’s going to be cold! But I just have to do it or else I’ll never get back out there. Plus, my siblings bought me an Ipod Shuffle for my birthday so I can finally listen to music again while I run! (My phone hasn’t been working properly).

Thursday and Friday Lily is back at school and then Friday evening we’re driving down to my parents’ house. It’s my brother’s birthday on Saturday so we’ll be going out for dinner then I think us siblings will be going to see a movie.

Back home sometime on Sunday so I’ve just planned leftovers or 2min noodles or toasted sandwiches for dinner. Whatever I can be bothered to “cook”.

What’s on your meal plan this week?
