The meal plan is late this week as I didn’t get a chance to put it together Saturday night as Mr Monkey needed to use the laptop and then I was in a terrible mood on Sunday so didn’t feel like doing it. I’m still so overwhelmed by everything (my to-do lists just seem to get longer, not shorter!) and I think it all caught up with me yesterday. I’m feeling a tiny bit better today and have at least managed to put this together.

Lily is off for a few nights with Granny, Poppy and Olivia in their caravan from tomorrow. I’m hoping to use that quiet time to get some more of my assignment done and some more blogging. Once again, there is still a bit of sponsored content coming but I always try to make sure there’s something in it for you, and the money sure is helping at the moment!

I’m being slightly more adventurous with the meals while Lily is away but at the same time I try not to cater to her too much. It can be a little bit of a chore to get her to eat everything at times but she tends to like most things. Although, she doesn’t seem to be handle spicy things lately, I think because we stopped giving them to her. We’ll have to slowly build up her tolerance again (as we build up mine!).

Mr Monkey is working like crazy at the new job and for the foreseeable future it looks like he’ll only have one day off a week. Hopefully, he might be able to organise a few evenings off as well but it looks like I’m solo parenting for most of the week. He’s still working on the new menu, plus menus for Melbourne Cup, Christmas parties and NYE so even when he’s home, he’s working. I’m hoping it’ll settle a little once those menus are written and he starts to get in to a rhythm.

He bought a new bike to ride to and from the train station and his actual train trip is quicker so his commute is a little easier. But after only two days of riding the new bike he got a thorn in the back tyre and it’s now flat. I’m not sure when he’s going to be able to get that fixed so for the moment he’s back to walking.

We have some of Mr Monkey’s family visiting from Queensland so will be going around to the in-law’s for dinner on Saturday and then I have a family lunch on Sunday. Will be a busy weekend!
