^^That’s a photo of my favourite Nutella Mug Cake. I’ve been thinking of blogging the recipe. Should I?
♥ Monday – Spaghetti and meatballs
♥ Tuesday – Fish with cous cous and veg
♥ Wednesday – Slow Cooker Chicken, Bacon & Potato Bake
♥ Thursday – Chickpea pasta
♥ Friday – Sausage Risotto
♥ Saturday – Vegetarian Noodle Stir Fry
♥ Sunday – Eggs on Toast
Another attempt to stay fairly frugal this week. Only meat we have left in the freezer is mince so after meatballs on Monday we’ll have to do the grocery shopping. It’s hard to try and keep things nutritious and cheap at the same time!
So nothing too interesting this week, in fact I’m only using one recipe – Slow Cooker Chicken, Bacon & Potato Bake. I’m really hoping our Woolworths have this slow cooker recipe base as I’m a huge, huge lover of potato bake and am really looking forward to trying this.
Busy start to the week this week.
I should be getting up about an hour after this post goes live to go for a “run” – Week 2 Day 3 of the Couch to 5K program so it’s a combination of short runs and walks. I’ve been determined to actually do the program properly and for the past week it’s been going ok. I went on Tuesday and Thursday. Meant to go Saturday but had a bad anxiety day Friday so put it off. My alarm went off on Sunday morning and Lily fell out of our bed and Chloe woke up so I decided it wasn’t a good idea to go for a run. So I’m going today. I am.
Then Lily’s swimming lessons as usual. Quick trip to the library and then we’ll be heading off to donate blood. Do you donate? This will be my first time back since falling pregnant with Chloe and I highly suggest it’s something that everyone should do. There are so many restrictions on who can actually donate so there are so few people that can actually donate yet so many people that need the blood.
On Tuesday we’ll be visiting the dentist then off to the grocery shopping. Lily has been to the dentist once (just after her 3rd birthday) and that didn’t go very well so I am a bit apprehensive about this trip. She knows that she has to open her mouth really wide so the dentist can look in but whether she will actually do that is another question. She had her four year old vaccinations last week and even just the weighing and measuring was hard enough.
Then Mr Monkey will be back to work on Wednesday and Lily has school Thursday and Friday and the weekend is quiet. I suppose it will be spent doing housework!
