Oh lookee here! I’ve actually written a blog post! Sorry about the lack of posts lately. There’s no real reason. We’ve just had a lot going on and I’ve feeling rather blah lately. I also haven’t been sleeping well so have been tired and unable to focus.
But I’m feeling a bit better and have finally been able to concentrate enough to get this written! I’m at my in-laws’ house now for dinner so have been able to put the meal plan together between ball games in the backyard.
We have a busy few weeks at the moment. I’m booked in to have my tonsils removed on the 11th November and it seems like everything at the moment is a count down to that – especially as there is so much to organise with the girls and my recovery.
Things have been a bit up in the air with Mr Monkey’s work as he’s currently looking for a new job. So we’re back to that time of not knowing what we can plan as we don’t know if he’ll be working. But hopefully he’ll find something that doesn’t have such long hours, average of 57 hours a week for a year is just too much!
Chloe has her 18 month vaccinations this week (how on earth is she 18 months old already?!) and I have a check up appointment for my antidepressants.
Lily has another morning at big school for Kindy orientation. She has been for 2 mornings so far and will have one more next week. So far, she’s loved it. She’s still quiet and doesn’t seem to interact overly much with the other kids but she leaves very excited each time and seems happy. We’re also learning a bit more about the school and what she will experience during the info sessions each week which has been great.
On Saturday it’s Mr Monkey’s Grandma’s 90th Birthday Party. Lily and I went shopping together by ourselves last week to buy her a present. Should be a great day!
So overall, meals are fairly easy and plain-ish this week. But I’m looking forward to quite a few of them, especially the tacos and pad thai. And Lily asked for both chorizo and risotto last week so I made sure to include that this week (which can almost guarantee she won’t eat it).
