Lately I’ve been experimenting with drawing mandalas, like the one above. They’re great for relaxing, feeling creative and are actually a great form of meditation soon. I just have to let go of my perfectionism and not worry when it’s a bit wonky!

It’s a momentous week this week. We have Chloe’s 1st birthday party on Sunday. Yup, you read that right. Chloe turns ONE this week (well actually next Monday). I can’t believe it. I seriously can’t. Wasn’t I just suffering through gestational diabetes? Wasn’t she just born?
I feel like I haven’t really written about her on here. Perhaps I’ll do a letter to her for her birthday. But she’s going great. She’s walking, everywhere. She’s trying to run, to catch up to her sister. She’s babbling and saying the occasional words. In the last few days she has started clapping and raising her arms up to say “yay!”. She eats more than Lily does and still feeds constantly and is just a happy, chubba, cheerful baby. She truly lights up our lives.
We’re having her party at my parents’ house so we’ll be heading down there after Lily finishes school on Friday. Lots of party preparation to do before Sunday.
Some interesting meals for the start of the week. I’m especially looking forward to the Slow Cooker Sweet Soy and Sesame Beef and Chicken Pad Thai, both using McCormick products that were sent to me. More on that in the next few weeks!
