You know what I hate? Getting sick. I’m a horrible patient and I whinge and whinge and whinge. I wouldn’t like to be around me. So, of course, I’m constantly getting sick lately.
Friday morning I felt sick to my stomach. No idea why. I managed to get Lily to school and then Chloe and I came home and fell asleep on the couch for a few hours. And that’s where I spent the rest of the day until it was time to pick Lily up again. I quickly made the girls eggs and toast for dinner and I managed to eat 1 slice of toast with butter. The girls fell asleep on the couch while watching movies because I just couldn’t face bedtime.
Thankfully, by Saturday morning I was feeling much better. I was able to eat and not feel like it was coming straight back up but I was still majorily lacking energy. Most of the day was spent on the couch again but I was actually achieving things, like my meal plan and this post.
So hopefully this week may be a bit more illness free. Because it’s a busy one.
Monday morning we have swimming and then we have an appointment with an accountant. Mr Monkey’s parents are coming to look after the girls and then we’ll be ordering takeaway for dinner. I have some vouchers to try out for an online ordering service so we’ll be using one as an excuse to order some food. Plus, I have a voucher to giveaway soon too!
Tuesday and Wednesday will ordinary days at home and I’m hoping to get some housework done. We got some kale in our fruit and veg delivery this week and we have sausages in the freezer so these two meals from the latest Taste magazine were perfect.
Thursday Lily has school as usual and we’ll be eating the fish and chips I had planned for last week (when I was sick). Friday is a school day as well and I’ll be picking her up early to drive down to dinner for my Dad’s birthday. Spending the weekend down there and possibly coming home Sunday. If we do, I’ll be using up the vegetables in the fridge to make a risotto.
