Yes, there are a few meals moved over from last week’s meal plan. We had leftovers that needed to be used and went to the in-laws for dinner one night so everything didn’t get used when it was supposed to. Thankfully, the haloumi lasts for ages and the chicken was in the freezer so it was easy to put them off to later.
My sister broke her foot last week so we are heading down to my parents’ house on Monday to see her and help look after my niece for a little bit. Mr Monkey will head back for work on Tuesday and Lily and I will head back sometime on Wednesday [whenever I can get a lift! :)].
Otherwise it’s a fairly quiet week in the FDM house. I have a “Christmas Sneak Peek” night at a local boutique toy store to go to on Thursday night but that should only be an hour or two.
I attended the 25th Anniversary lunch for Lenard’s last week and learnt about their new range of products and the new direction they are heading in. I was actually quite impressed and looking forward to sharing some of it with you on the blog. We received a sample of one of their new stir fry ranges – the Royal Thai Lemon. Yes, I know I’ve put it as a vegetarian meal this week but we are trying to use up what we have in the house and I thought it would be a great way to try the flavours.
Mr Monkey has just started a new menu at his work so brought home some of the old menu items and they’ve gone out in our back freezer. Hence the lamb dippers in this week’s meal plan – they were part of his “tasting plate” menu where you are encouraged to buy 2 or 3 meals and share them. He still has the menu but just different meals now. I thought the easiest way to make them in to a “proper” meal would be just to serve them with mash and veggies. Easy!
