First week after the 1 Million Kilo Challenge this week. Not sure it was very successful for me – I didn’t lose much weight but then again I didn’t follow the program very strictly. It was, however, great to get some healthier meal ideas.
So, I’m back to finding my own meals. I try to make sure we have one fish meal, one chicken, one steak/meat, and one vegetarian. I also have to try to make sure we have different side dishes as we tend to get stuck in pasta or mashed potato ruts.
We have a couple of old favourites this week (slow cooker curried sausages – yum!!) and some new meals from a few different websites – click on the meal to go to the full recipe.
It’s Mr Monkey’s birthday this week and as luck would have it he actually has the day off work. Not sure what we’ll get up to during the day but we’re planning to go out for dinner with his and my family at a Malaysian restaurant in Newtown.
Friday I should hopefully be catching up with Amy for dinner! We’ve made plans for months but one of us will come down sick or other things will come up and so it’s been months since we’ve actually seen each other. I miss my best friend!
