Why do I always seem to get sick whenever we come home from holidays?
We arrived home from my parents’ house on Thursday evening and brought all of the camping stuff straight inside. Of course, we were too tired to do anything other than cook a quick dinner and go to bed early. With dinner I drank a cup of apple juice that had been left from before we left; I don’t think that was a great idea. The next day I awoke feeling rather unwell and instead of spending Lily’s day at school cleaning up I spent it on the couch. I was feeling marginally better by Saturday but spent it recovering, including sleeping for 4 hours in the afternoon, as Lily was off with my parents for the day then Mr Monkey’s for a sleepover that night. Sunday, Mr Monkey was home so helped me put the camping stuff away in the shed, wash the dishes that had piled up and do a general tidy of downstairs that was still a bit of a mess since Lily’s party the other week.
So, at least the camping stuff is away but I need to get back in to a routine of doing my weekly cleaning zones. I also need to re-start or at least catch up with the 20 Day Organising Challenge but I’m not sure when I’m going to do that. Perhaps even after the baby is born?
