Cleaning Zone - The Flying Drunken Monkey

I am working on The Organised Housewife’s “20 Days To Organise & Clean Your Home” starting with the first pre-challenge task today but I thought I’d still keep a cleaning zone for this week anyway. Especially as the first 5 days are the pre-challenges which mostly involve writing and not actually cleaning so I will still have time to clean.

Surprisingly, the bathroom and the laundry are fairly good, even though I haven’t been making much effort to keep them clean. I’ve gotten out of the habit of wiping down the bathroom sink each morning (basically since we moved) and I really need to make that second nature again.

With the problems with our kitchen floor (which still haven’t been completely fixed) we had to move a few things in to the bathroom and that makes cleaning a little more difficult. Also, it makes the room seem messier than it actually is.

I have wiped the shower down a few times using shower cleaning wipes and I use Lily’s facewasher to give the bath a quick wipe over when she finishes her bath.

The laundry is dirty but I think it will always be dirty as it is almost outside – basically just a shed tacked on to the back of the house. I do need to wipe down the washing machine as that has gotten fairly dusty but I try to sweep off the benches where we sort the dirty clothes quite regularly.

So, not a lot to do but I will feel better when it’s done.

The plan for this week’s cleaning zone;

Bathroom:

♥ Check supplies
♥ Clean bath/shower
♥ Clean faucets
♥ Clear HotSpots
♥ Disinfect bin
♥ Mop floor
♥ Scrub sink
♥ Sweep floor
♥ Wash bath toys

Laundry:

♥ Clean outside of washing machine
♥ Look behind washing machine
♥ Do tub clean
♥ Mop floor
♥ Sweep floor
