If you read my meal plan post yesterday you’ll know that our kitchen floor is currently (finally!) being fixed. I’m hoping it will be fixed this afternoon as we’ll be heading home tomorrow. I’m very much hoping we will have an accessible kitchen and bathroom.
At the moment half of our kitchen is in our dining room – we had to move the fridge in there and the tradesmen moved the oven, we had to empty out the pantry and it is currently in boxes and all over the dining table and we also had to empty out the pots and pans cupboard and the first aid cupboard.
The dining room looks like a cluttered mess at the moment but with the above put away it’s not too bad. I’ve been meaning to clean out the pantry again so this will be a good opportunity to do that. It’s also great because, besides actually putting things away, it’s a job that I can do sitting down (sorting through and organising). Mr Monkey can do the actual putting away for me. At the moment, being 38 weeks pregnant, any job I can do sitting down is a good one!
So once the kitchen is all put away I’ll hopefully get some of the Dining Room zone done. Mr Monkey will have to do the vacuuming and things like picking stuff up off the floor but I should be able to tidy the bookshelf and do the filing.
