We’re getting a new fridge this week. I am ridiculously excited. We’ve been looking at fridges for months, since before Chloe was born. We received the Baby Bonus from the government and as we already have the big baby stuff from Lily we decided to use some of it on a new fridge and invest the rest as a “uni fund” for Chloe, as we did with Lily. Unfortunately, we are restricted on what fridges we could buy due to the cabinetry in our current kitchen. One of the pitfalls of renting! But we’ve found a Samsung one that we’re both happy with, that will fit comfortably in the space we have. It will be delivered Thursday and it’ll be just like Christmas!
In terms of housework lately, still struggling. I have a good day, like last Wednesday where we plowed through the housework to-do list, and I start to feel on top of things. Then the next day I’m back to feeling like crap and feel horrible that I can’t maintain it. I have to keep reminding myself that I’m not going to feel better in one day.
I don’t think I did any of the zone cleaning last week in the Dining Room. I did put away all of the clean washing that was in there (at the bottom of the stairs, waiting for Mr Monkey to carry it upstairs). Lily kept her toys fairly tidy, as she has to put them away daily to get a sticker on her chore chart.
The kitchen and the lounge room had their messy days and their tidy days. The rest of the house stayed fairly much the same.
This week, I’ll make sure to do the kitchen cleaning tasks as I want it to look pretty when the new fridge is in! It will be extra motivation.
I’m also spending the weekend and half of next week at my parents’ house so I’m hoping to get the house mostly clean this week so I can come home to a (relatively) clean house.
