So here’s the first cleaning zone for the new house! How exciting…
I have adjusted the zones to fit the rooms –
♥ Lounge Room/ Entry
♥ Dining Room
♥ Bathroom/ Laundry
♥ Bedrooms (upstairs)
Most of the tasks have stayed the same for each zone – some moved to a different zone depending on what is in the new room.
I must confess that I haven’t been doing much cleaning the last few weeks at all really. The house has been generally tidy but that’s about it. Just no motivation, no energy. But I need to get on top of it. ASAP.
It’s so nice to have a “dining room”. In the old house the table was in the kitchen and while it was cozy it’s nice to have some extra room.
This room has a beautiful old fireplace (not working) which we’ve put the table against. We’ve moved the big Ikea bookshelf in against the wall and the computer table is opposite the kitchen table, under the stairs. So far, it is all working out really well, although I don’t really like having carpet under the table. Just means more vacuuming I suppose.
We’ve unpacked most of the boxes but there is one or two in this room that still need to be done – just all of that random stuff that doesn’t really have a place but you can’t get rid of. I hate that stuff.
The bookshelf also needs a tidy as we didn’t really think about where to put stuff when we unpacked it and it’s a bit of a mess.
I need to work out what to do with Lily’s toys. Currently, her kitchen is next to the table and one of our bookshelves, along with a few of her other toys. She has her own bedroom now which has all of her other toys but I’d like to keep some downstairs for her to play with. The problem is there isn’t much room and all of the toys have just been piled in to box.
The plan for this week’s cleaning zone;
♥ Tidy desk
♥ Tidy table
♥ Tidy Bookshelf
♥ Empty boxes
♥ Organise Lily’s toys
