I just had to share this photo, Lily looks so damn cheeky!
Well last week was mostly good. Lily had a friend coming over on Tuesday for a play date and I wanted to use it as an opportunity to make sure the house was clean. I spent the morning and cleaning and was very impressed with how much I got done. I washed a load of nappies and then a load of Mr Monkeys work uniforms, cleaned the bathroom, washed all the dishes, wiped down the kitchen, swept the kitchen, bathroom and laundry, vacuumed the bedroom and computer room, put all of Lily’s toys away and tidied the living room and stairs. Of course, the friends came in, stayed in downstairs for 10 minutes and then we left to go to the playground! So much for showing off my nice clean house!
But I didn’t mind because at least it got me off my butt and doing stuff. Of course, I didn’t do much else for the rest of the week. The weather warmed up a bit so I was able to do a few loads of washing and I kept on top of the dishes and keeping the kitchen clean but could’ve been much better.
This week we won’t be spending much time at home as we are heading down to my parents’ house, for Christmas! Can’t believe it’s Christmas already!
I will probably spend Tuesday and Wednesday doing the housework and hope to leave the house nice and clean so I don’t have to worry about cleaning when I get home. Then I have a week to keep it tidy before we head off on a week’s holiday!
So this is what I plan to do in the few days I have:
- Sweep floor
- Scrub stove top
- Clean cupboard doors
- Clean out fridge
- Clean small appliances
- Clean big appliances (outside fridge etc)
- Mop floor
- Clean microwave
What do you have planned this week? Are you doing minimum housework because you will be out of the house for Christmas? Or do you have major clean ups because you are hosting Christmas this year?
