Now that we’re back from our holiday up to the Gold Coast it’s time to get back into the housework routine. Ha! Routine! Like I have one of those
Actually, I do, of course. But at times I definitely feel rather lost. But one thing that the Problogger conference has shown me is that, to be able to make all aspects of my life work together I really need to get myself organised and set a routine for everything.
I’ve even been considering setting out times and days for everything – Wednesday is cleaning zone day Thursday is blog work day, Friday is study day, kind of thing. But I need to sit down and really think about everything and how it will work first.
For the moment, I’m going to focus on maintaining the housework to a level that I’m happy with.
We left the house in a fairly good state (thanks mostly to my parents who stayed the night before we left and kicked my butt into gear) which meant we’re starting on a pretty good level. However, there’s suitcases of clothes to put away. Thankfully we were able to do a lot of washing while we were away so there’s not a lot to do now.
The bathroom in general isn’t too bad. But the sink always needs a good clean and the mirror is always dirty as soon as I clean it. The bathroom and bath need a proper clean and I should really get around to clearing out and organising the cupboard under the sink. I did the drawers quickly last time so they aren’t too bad now.
I didn’t get my zone work done in the kitchen before we left so I’ll be trying to do a bit of that this week too.
