Yes that’s Lily mid-air, jumping between couches. She’s a daredevil on couches and stairs but refuses to jump into the water at swimming lessons, because the water goes up her nose.
Well, hello there! It’s been awhile since we’ve seen one of these posts isn’t it?
Between my anxiety, busy weeks, croupy girls and well… life, the cleaning just hasn’t been done. I’ve kept up a basic standard I suppose – general tidiness, bathroom has stayed fairly clean, washing has stayed mostly on track.
But the only reason my house has been clean at all really has been because my parents’ have come and helped (read done most of the cleaning) a few times. I am very glad no one else has come to my house because it has been an absolute pig sty. Terrible.
I keep telling myself that I need to get back in to my routine but keep putting it off – I’m too busy, maybe next month when things settle down, I need to look after myself.
But it’s really gotten to a point where it just can’t cut it anymore. Sure, I do have to look after myself but I also need to maintain a relatively clean house.
Because we’re home most of this week I think it’s a good week to start getting back on track. I’m going to focus on getting my daily tasks done and also the Cleaning Zone.
I’ve started in this zone for two reasons – it’s at the front of the house so I can just work my way back, and it’s also the worst room in the house. It’s the room where we spend the most time and it also has at least half of the girls’ toys so there’s always mess. Every where.
It also needs a good declutter to get rid of some of that mess and make it easier to keep tidy. I’ll attempt that if I get the rest of the cleaning zone tasks done.
