Cleaning Zone - The Entry Way & Lounge Room - The Flying Drunken Monkey

Thankfully I managed to get some work done in last week’s Cleaning Zone (Bedrooms) on Tuesday because by Wednesday I was starting to get a cold. By Thursday night I realised it was actually tonsillitis again. So I’ve been out of action since then.

But on Tuesday I got all our clothes put away, Lily’s toys tidied and her room tidied, the bedside tables tidied and the floor tidied in our room, and both rooms vacuumed. There was still a lot that could’ve been done but what I did made a big difference.

Having been sick not much housework got done for the rest of the week. My Mum came up on Friday to take Lily back to her house for a holiday. Thankfully she was already coming as I was able to make an appointment to see the doctor to go straight on to antibiotics. It looks like I’ll have to get my tonsils removed which I am not at all looking forward to!

As Mum tends to do, she got some washing done for me – both clothes and dishes, and a general tidy. So I wasn’t too stressed spending all of Saturday on the couch!

This week is fairly quiet, although I’m still getting over the tonsillitis and I think I have another cold/cough as well. I may be going to my parents’ house for the long weekend so need to get the cleaning done over the next few days.

As always, the lounge room tends to be one of the messiest rooms. Because it’s where we spend most of our time it tends to be full of toys and just… stuff. Most of the time it just needs to be tidied and perhaps a vacuum.

What it really needs is a big declutter but I’m not really up to that at the moment. So I will just work on having it tidier this week.
