It’s always the way – when one part of my life is under control another goes to.. well, shit.
I seem to have about four aspects to my life at the moment. In no particular order:
4. Family Life
(oh plus an added bonus of running, but I need to make that a bigger and more important aspect of my life, I think).
Last week I was on top of the ball for my blog (four posts in one week, whoo!), family life was pretty good and I even got some study done.
I spent one day tidying the lounge room and dining room and then vacuuming which was good. I washed dishes every day but didn’t always finish them. I kept on top of the washing but haven’t folded any of it.
Otherwise, really no housework got done. I didn’t do any of my zone work in the Bathroom and I didn’t do any of my weekly tasks.
But my focus this week is going to be bringing all the aspects of my life into cohesion. I have my days when I need blog posts up so I know when I need to be working on them. I’m going to try and make Fridays, when Lily’s at school, the day I work on my study. I’ll make Thursdays Zone Work days and ensure that I’m at least meeting my daily cleaning tasks for the rest of the week.
With my training plan for my Operation Move course I’m hitting 3 runs a week and I’m determined to stick to that (it’s Sunday now and I’m about to leave for my third run).
I’m hoping that by focusing on this I’ll be able to ensure that I’m giving all areas of my life the proper attention, hopefully without burning myself out.
This week is the Laundry which is a fairly easy zone. I’ll put the machine on to do a Tub Soak and will wipe down the outside one day as I’m doing the washing. I need to get our outside broom from the front courtyard and take it out to sweep out the laundry. I’m not sure if I’ll bother mopping the floor – it gets quite wet when it’s raining. I think we do need some supplies so I’ll need to check those before doing the groceries on Tuesday.
So, here’s to a more cohesive and balanced life!
