Meal Plan:

♥ Tuesday – Veggie Risotto
♥ Wednesday – Dinner at the pub?
♥ Thursday – Moroccan Meatballs with Cous cous
♥ Friday – Kale & Mushroom pasta
♥ Saturday – Cheese toasties
♥ Sunday – Dinner at the pub or at Grandma & Grandad’s

Today’s post is very, very late but we’ve had a busy morning. We were invited by Disney Australia to the premiere of their new Pixar movie – Brave. I’ll hopefully blog about it later but it was really, really excellent. My sister actually blogged about it here. Both Lily and my niece were amazing and so well behaved. Lily loved it and keeps telling Daddy about seeing the “moooovie!” on the “big TV!”

This week is another busy one. They don’t seem to be getting any less busy! Lily has moved to a new earlier swimming class at 9.30 on Mondays – she had to change teachers and she was happy with the new teacher, until he left and now she’s terrified of the new teacher! She might eventually warm to him but we decided it was probably easiest to move her in to the earlier class with her old teacher who she loves. Just means we have to get up earlier!!

We still have a freezer full of Lenard’s chicken in our freezer so we’re slowly working our way through it. I’m super excited to have the chicken kievs as it’s been ages since I’ve had them!

I have my course on Wednesday night again and as yet haven’t planned anything for dinner. Sorry Mum! We can probably head down to the pub, get pizza or… I dunno.

I was looking for a recipe to use the cous cous we have in the cupboard and I came across this recipe for Moroccan Meatballs with Cous cous. It looks yummy and easy, as the only thing we’ll need to buy is the mince. Hopefully I can pick up a good budget mince from the budget.

I’ve been wanting to try kale for awhile now as I’ve heard about it everywhere but have been too scared as I wasn’t really sure what to do with it. My friend, Miranda, shared her recipe for Kale & Mushroom pasta on her blog and it looks easy but yummy so we’re going to give it a go this week.

On Saturday we are catching up with the awesome Glow from Where’s my Glow for lunch because she’s flying in for a trip. I’m so excited to see her and meet my Instagram buddy Real Jive Turkey who is coming with her! I’m expecting a big lunch so have only planned toasted cheese sandwiches for dinner. We might also be staying at my in-laws for the night so might not have to worry anyway!

Sunday I’ve been invited to attend the The Good Food and Wine Show and am taking along my Mum, my mother-in-law and most likely sister as well. The boys are all off on a fishing trip! I’ve been to the show a few years ago and they’re always a lot of fun but it will be interesting to try and get around with Lily. I haven’t planned anything for dinner that night. We are likely to eat a lot of samples at the show and will probably not want much to eat anyway.

So all in all, a busy but fun week.

What do you have on your meal plan this week?
