Pretty boring meal plan again this week but it was a horrible week last week. Lily had gotten sick the Friday before – after a few days of a basic cold and cough she woke up with a raging fever. We kept her home from school and took her to the doctor who said it was just a virus and should clear up by itself. By Sunday she was doing much better.
By that time Chloe had come down with the cough as well and I was really hoping we could avoid the fever with her too. No such luck. She slept horribly Monday night, waking and screaming every half hour, and then slept all day Tuesday. Literally all day, she would’ve been awake for perhaps a combined time of 1 hour the entire day. Wednesday her temperature was still high and she just was not herself so off we went to the doctor again. Saw a different doctor who said Chloe had croup and Lily most likely had it as well.
So Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I basically spent on the couch – Chloe was only happy if she was sleeping on me, quite often still on the boob and I knew that’s what she needed. She didn’t any food for those days so she needed a lot of extra breastfeeds. Lily was starting to feel fairly neglected and bored, especially as I had to keep her home from school on Thursday as well. Thankfully she was fine to go back on Friday and my parents came up. The house was a complete and utter mess but thanks to my parents we were able to have it looking presentable in no time. They picked Lily up from school and took to their house for the weekend, allowing me to focus on Chloe.
Thankfully Chloe is finally on the mend and hopefully life can get back to normal.
Busy week again. Swimming lesson on Monday again and then we’re back to the doctor for Lily’s 4 year old health check. I’m not looking forward to that after Lily’s performance when they tried to weigh her before giving her her vaccinations!
Tuesday morning I’m donating blood and then in the afternoon we’re going for a tour of a local primary school. Yes, Lily starts school next year! Scary!!
I’m having my last psychologist appointment on Thursday and I’m really apprehensive about that. I don’t feel ready to go it alone!
After I pick Lily up from school on Friday we’ll be driving to meet my parents at a country show. My parents will be working there and I know the girls will love it there at night time.
What’s on your meal plan this week?
