I finally got out for another run last week. It had been 1 1/2 weeks since my attempt at the Cooks River Fun Run and I had been so anxious about running again. But on Thursday afternoon while my Mum took Chloe for a walk I went out for a run. I started with the aim of running for 30mins straight and seeing how much of that I could do. I got to 10mins before I needed to walk which I did for a minute. Then 4 more minutes until I walked for 90 seconds. After that I just attempted to run more than I walked. I ended up doing 4.8km in 39min 39secs. Not great but ok, especially as it included a 5min warm up walk and a 5min cool down walk. I was going to go again this morning (Sunday) because Mr Monkey was home from work so I could go later when it was warmer. But he didn’t get home until 1.30am on Saturday night and Chloe woke up so I didn’t get to sleep until about 4am. So I wasn’t really up for going for a run. As it was I didn’t get out of bed until my Mum arrived with Lily around 10.30am. We spent the day cleaning and I fell asleep on the couch around 4pm so didn’t even get an evening run in. But I’m planning to go tomorrow morning, just have to brave the cold!
Another fairly quiet week this week.
Dinner at the in-law’s tomorrow night then just hanging around the house until Lily has school on Thursday and Friday. Lily has a birthday party to go to on Saturday but other than that it’s business as usual.
