Fairly quiet week this week. It’ll be good to get back into a bit of routine.

Last week was supposed to be about getting back to normalyet, as always, it didn’t go to plan. Lily had been grumpy and off her food since just before we came back from our holiday. I just put it down to being tired and a bit strung out from a long holiday. But then her temp kept rising for a few days. We kept asking her if anything hurt but she always said no. However, I remembered that the last time she had an unexplainable fever we took her to the doctor and it turned out she had an earache. So we thought it was probably a good idea to get her checked out. Turns out she had tonsillitis! I’ve had two lots of tonsillitis in the last year so I definitely know how much it hurts yet she never said a word! Poor little thing. She went straight on antibiotics and was much better almost straightaway.

She was well enough to go to school and then after a special Fathers Day afternoon tea at her school we headed down to my parents’ house. But due to heavy traffic and then an accident on the freeway the usual 1 1/2hr trip took 2 1/2hrs. Thankfully I had Dad with me and he drove, although Chloe decided she had had enough with 30mins to go and screamed the rest of the way.

On Saturday I was able to get some study done which was great and we had a lovely roast dinner with my family for Fathers Day.

We’re heading home today but hopefully I’ll attempt a 5km easy run before we leave.

Swimming lessons on Monday then out to see Grandma and Grandad for dinner.

Tuesday will be errand day with groceries and a trip to the library. It’ll also be run day with a 3km fast run in the morning. Mr Monkey should hopefully be off work and he loves curry so I thought I’d give the Chicken Tinga a try. (Hopefully he’ll make it!)

Wednesday will be a quiet day at home. Probably my only chance to really get some housework done. Back to the old favourite of curried sausages and mash.

Thursday Lily has school. I’ve decided to start trying to make Thursdays the day I work on my blog. Although this week I also have an appointment to donate blood. Do you donate? If not, seriously look into it! I’ll be attempting to go for a run in the morning too.

Friday is another school day and I’m hoping to try and attempt some study. I’m really behind with my course and desperately need to catch up.

Saturday is my long run day (aiming for 6km!) and then we have a catch up with our Mums Group. We haven’t seen everyone in months so I’m really looking forward to that.

No plans for Sunday yet but Mr Monkey might be off work so we’ll most likely spend a quiet day at home.
