Well, we’re finally getting back to normal in the FDM house. The crazy season is not quite over yet (we have Lily’s birthday at the beginning of February) but we are starting to feel a little calmer, and have more days at home.
We’re working in the Bedroom this week. I’m fairly happy with the level of de-cluttering int here at the moment. Under the bed is pretty clear, but the top of the cupboards could use a bit of work. For the moment that isn’t really important.
Since we got rid of the change table we’ve had Lily’s nappies in a hanging sorter that my sister gave us. It’s been ok but has always been a temporary fix – it doesn’t fit our whole collection of nappies and we can’t store the liners or wipes in there.
Tanya from A Multifarious Me recently posted about how she changed all of their bedrooms around in one day. What a big job! The one thing that stood out for me in her post is how she stored her son’s nappies – in big baskets that stored them really well (check her post out to see what I mean). She said she got them from Kmart so I had a look when I did the groceries the other day. I didn’t see the ones she had but I did find some others that actually have a lid on them. I came home checked with Mr Monkey and we’ve decided to get two of them and lay them behind Lily’s bed. I should be picking them up on Tuesday.
I should have a fair amount of time to get this done this week so I’m hoping to get some other housework/ de-cluttering done around the house if possible.
Here’s what I have planned in the bedroom:
- ♥ Dust
- ♥ Clear beside tables
- ♥ Clean mirrors
- ♥ Clean balcony doors
- ♥ Clean wardrobe doors
- ♥ Tidy under bed
- ♥ Fold clothes
- ♥ Vacuum
- ♥ Fix nappy situation
