This Week's Cleaning Zone - The Bathroom - The Flying Drunken Monkey

Once again, not a lot of housework got done last week. I can’t even say that I kept on top of the dishes – I never seemed to get to the “bottom” of the pile.

I did at least clear off the end of the bench, mostly because an electrician was supposed to be coming and I was rather embarrassed by it. He didn’t end up coming but at least it was cleaner!

This week we’re home a bit more so I’m hoping to get more done. Even today I managed to finally get to the bottom of the dishes and scrubbed the kitchen benches. Most of that was thanks to my parents-in-law – my father-in-law washed some of the dishes while we were at Lily’s swimming lesson then they both looked after the girls while I did the rest.

The dining room is still a mess – mostly because of the amount of washing drying in there. But the weather is supposed to be nicer this week so hopefully I can get that put away and get that room a bit back to normal.

I have a few big decluttering projects that I’ve been wanting to do for ages – the pantry and the “computer” table. But I keep putting them off because they are so big. Maybe I can get a start on one of those this week.

But the zone this week is the bathroom. Thankfully, the bathroom has stayed fairly tidy but it does need a good clean. We recently bought a steam mop on the cheap and it has a special nozzle attachment. I’m going to bleach the showers and tiles then give it a good go with that and hopefully it will clean up pretty well.

eep, I’ve been avoiding the bathroom. I did just buy a new cleaner for it yesterday, but today I decided to go to the zoo instead!
